About Angas Go-Kart Club
The Angas Go-Kart Club at Strathalbyn is a long-running dirt karting club on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula โ by its own account the only dirt-kart motorsport facility in the Fleurieu region. Established back in 1963, it is a family-oriented, amateur club affiliated with AIDKA (the Australian Independent Dirt Kart Association), and it welcomes anyone from age 5 and up to get involved and compete. This is a members' club where drivers run their own dirt karts rather than an arrive-and-drive hire venue: once you become a financial member and are licensed through AIDKA, you can race here and at affiliated clubs around Australia. The grounds sit on the old Bennett & Fisher quarry behind the local cemetery, and the welcoming, community feel โ and a well-regarded canteen on race days โ keep families coming back.
