About Australian Motorcycle Training
Australian Motorcycle Training is a small, family-owned Q-Ride provider based at Riverview, Ipswich, serving the surrounding Ipswich, Bundamba and greater Brisbane areas. It has earned an outstanding 5-star reputation across hundreds of reviews, with riders repeatedly praising the patient, practical coaching and the personal feel of learning here rather than in a large group. Training runs on a one-on-one basis on a private track, and motorcycles and gear are provided, so complete beginners can build confidence at their own pace before heading onto the road. The school covers the full Queensland licensing pathway โ from the compulsory 2-day Pre-Learner course through to the RE (restricted) and R (open/unrestricted) upgrades โ making it a strong choice whether you are getting your first motorcycle licence or stepping up to a bigger bike.

FAQ
Do I need my own motorcycle to do the course?
No. Motorcycles are provided and training is conducted on a private track, so beginners can learn without owning or bringing a bike.
Which course do I start with to get my motorcycle licence?
In Queensland you begin with the compulsory 2-day Q-Ride Pre-Learner course. After that you can sit the motorcycle knowledge test for your learner permit (RE L), then progress to the RE course for a restricted licence and later the R course for an open licence.
What is the difference between an RE and an R licence?
An RE licence lets you ride LAMS-approved (learner-legal) motorcycles, while an R (open) licence removes that restriction so you can ride any-size bike. Australian Motorcycle Training offers Q-Ride courses for both.
Is the training one-on-one or in a group?
Training is delivered one-on-one, which the school highlights as a key difference from larger group-based training companies.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Afterpay and Humm payment plans are accepted in addition to standard payment options.
