About Canberra Kart Racing Club
Canberra Kart Racing Club (CKRC) runs Circuit Mark Webber at Fairbairn Park in Pialligo, on the eastern edge of Canberra. The circuit is named after Queanbeyan-born Formula 1 driver Mark Webber, and following an upgrade it now stretches to a 1,110-metre layout with 18 turns and more than 18 metres of elevation change — a genuinely challenging club track. This is a competition kart club, not an arrive-and-drive hire venue: members race their own karts under Karting NSW, and there are no hire karts on offer. A wide spread of categories runs here, from the reliable and economical 4-stroke 4SS class through to the high-performance TaG 125cc two-stroke and others, so there's a grade to suit most ages and budgets. New drivers are well looked after — the club can arrange a volunteer to walk you through practice procedures, check your kart and equipment, and explain the driving test you need to pass before competing.
