About City MX
City MX is a family-friendly motocross ride park at Lawrie Emmins Reserve in Laverton North, one of the closest dirt-bike tracks to Melbourne. It is built around getting newcomers riding safely: there are three circuits โ Junior, Intermediate and Main โ and hire bikes and safety gear are available, so you can rock up without your own machine. Beginners start on a track where speeds are restricted and learn the basics from a track expert, which makes it a genuinely easy entry point into the sport. With come-and-try experiences, coaching, group bookings and school-holiday programs, it is especially popular with parents introducing kids to motocross for the first time. The park is run under the City MX banner by former international racer Steve Martin.
