About Cycle Right
Cycle Right Motorcycle Training Academy is a Brisbane Q-Ride provider at Ransome, in the city's east, run from what it describes as Queensland's first purpose-built motorcycle training facility. It has an excellent reputation built on glowing feedback, with riders consistently praising the supportive, judgement-free environment and the quality of instruction across every course level — older learners, women getting their first licence and experienced riders brushing up all report feeling genuinely welcomed. The academy runs the full Queensland licensing pathway, from the compulsory two-day Pre-Learner course through the RE (restricted) and R (open) upgrades, with motorcycles and protective gear included on the licence courses. One-on-one sessions, a skills-and-roadcraft course and dirt-bike coaching round out the offering, and training runs seven days a week.

FAQ
Is a motorcycle provided on the courses?
Yes. Motorcycles and protective gear are included on the Q-Ride RE and R licence courses, so you do not need your own bike to take part.
Which course do I start with to get my motorcycle licence?
In Queensland you begin with the compulsory two-day Q-Ride Pre-Learner course, then sit the motorcycle knowledge test for your learner permit. From there you take the RE course for a restricted licence and later the R course for an open licence.
Do you offer one-on-one training?
Yes. Private one-on-one Q-Ride sessions are available for riders who want individual attention, alongside a Skills & Roadcraft course.
What days and hours are you open?
Training runs seven days a week, from 7am to 5pm.
Do you teach off-road or dirt-bike riding?
Yes. Cycle Right runs a dedicated dirt-bike coaching school in addition to its on-road Q-Ride licence courses.
