About Down Under Riders
Down Under Riders is a Perth motorcycle training instructor specialising in personalised, one-on-one lessons for riders pursuing their RE or R class licence in Western Australia. Operating from Morley and the West Perth Licensing Centre — and able to come to you if you prefer to train on your own bike — the instructor tailors every lesson plan to your existing skill level, pace and goals. From scratch, most riders are assessment-ready in around 8–12 hours of training. Sessions include HD camera recording so you can review your own riding and pinpoint exactly where to improve, which is particularly valuable in the lead-up to the Practical Riding Assessment. The focus is on producing riders who are genuinely safe and confident on the road, not just capable of passing a test.

FAQ
What licences does Down Under Riders train for?
Down Under Riders provides training for both the RE (restricted) and R (unrestricted) class motorcycle licences in Western Australia, as well as advanced riding sessions for existing licence holders.
Is it one-on-one or a group course?
All lessons are one-on-one, with the lesson plan tailored to your individual skill level, experience and goals. This is the key difference from larger group training schools.
How long does it take to be test-ready?
From no prior experience, most riders need approximately 8–12 hours of training before they are ready to sit the Practical Riding Assessment. The exact time depends on individual aptitude.
Can I use my own motorcycle?
Yes. The instructor can come to your location if you prefer to train on your own bike, rather than training at a fixed facility.
Where does training take place?
Lessons are conducted from Morley and the West Perth Licensing Centre. Down Under Riders also has a good rapport with assessors at the Midland and Mirrabooka centres.
