About Esperance Speedway
Esperance Speedway is a community-run dirt-track speedway at Myrup, just outside the south-coast town of Esperance in Western Australia. It is a spectator race venue: rather than driving yourself, you come along on a race night and watch full fields of dirt-oval cars do battle on the track's distinctive 365-metre clay oval. The club is run by the volunteer Esperance Speedway Association and the venue (also known these days as Tyres & More Esperance Speedway) keeps a loyal local following, with a canteen and licensed bar making it an easy family night out. With a remote position on WA's far south coast, it offers a genuinely grassroots speedway atmosphere you won't find at the bigger metro tracks.
