About Hendley Park Motocross
Hendley Park at Whitby, on the South Western Highway about five minutes south of Byford, is the home of the Lightweight Motorcycle Club โ a bring-your-own-bike motocross club south of Perth that has been running since 1952 and is operated entirely by volunteers. The venue has a 2.1km hardpack motocross track with a 40-rider start gate, plus a separate 15-gate, LED-lit Arenacross track โ described by the club as the only permanent AX track close to the Perth metropolitan area. Riders bring their own bikes and the club welcomes everyone from the 50cc demo class and juniors through to senior racers, recreational riders and experienced veterans. Arenacross events run under lights on Saturday nights through the warmer months, giving the southern corridor a genuine night-racing fixture.
