About Hyperdrive Kart Racing
Hyperdrive Kart Racing in Kingston, just south of Hobart, is a state-of-the-art solar-powered electric go-kart centre with a retro '80s twist and one of Tasmania's strongest reputations for kart racing. Its signature feature is a track that can run two ways: an indoor Sprint Track of around 250 metres on wet days, which on dry days connects via a drawbridge to an outdoor section to form a Combined Enduro Track over half a kilometre long. The quiet, fume-free electric karts come in tiers for every driver — Adult, Junior and Duo karts, plus super-fast Shifter Karts for those who qualify. On site there's also a café, private party rooms and free classic '80s arcade machines, which makes it an easy choice for birthdays and group days out.
