About Ipswich City Dirt Kart Club

Ipswich City Dirt Kart Club (ICDKC) is a grassroots dirt kart racing club in the Willowbank Motorsport Precinct, with its track sitting on Champions Way between the Willowbank drag strip and Queensland Raceway. It's one of south-east Queensland's larger member-based dirt kart clubs and races under lights on a dirt surface of clay and decomposed-granite mix — a very different proposition to sealed sprint-kart circuits. This is a competition club, not an arrive-and-drive hire venue: members bring their own dirt karts and race within a tight-knit, supportive community where newer drivers are mentored by experienced competitors. The club caters for a huge age span, with racing described as fun for ages 5 to 70+ across 6 junior and 8 senior groups, running both 4-stroke and 2-stroke karts. Spectator entry and parking are free, there's a canteen on site, and monthly Test and Tune days offer a relaxed way to get a kart on the dirt without full race-day requirements.
