About Jack's Hill
Jack's Hill is an 880-metre tarmac hillclimb course at Neerabup, about 25 km north of Perth, owned and operated by the WA Sporting Car Club (WASCC) โ Australia's longest-established motorsport club, founded in 1929. The course was built on WASCC's leasehold land adjacent to Wanneroo Raceway (now CARCO Raceway) to fill a long-recognised gap: WA had no permanent hillclimb venue. Named after the late Jack Nelson, whose bequest funded much of the construction cost, it opened in September 2005. WASCC runs hillclimb competitions, super sprints and member tuning days at the venue through the year. The adjacent infield area is also used by DriftWest for members-practice and competitive drift events, making the precinct a hub for two very different motorsport disciplines.
