About Motorcycle Masters Q-Ride
Motorcycle Masters is a Q-Ride registered rider training provider on the Gold Coast, based at Carrara, helping Queenslanders get and upgrade their motorcycle licence. Its courses run the full pathway โ from the 2-day Pre-Learner course for complete beginners chasing their learner's licence, through the RE upgrade to a restricted (LAMS) licence, and on to the R class course for an unrestricted licence โ plus braking, cornering and one-to-one skills coaching. Free bike hire and safety gear are included, so you don't need your own motorcycle, and the school's very strong review record comes largely from nervous first-timers who leave with both their licence and a genuine enthusiasm for riding.

FAQ
How do I get my motorcycle licence on the Gold Coast?
Start with the 2-day Pre-Learner course to gain your motorcycle learner's licence. You'll need a current non-learner Queensland car licence held for at least 12 months. From there you can progress to the RE and R class upgrades as you meet each holding period.
Do I need my own motorcycle and gear?
No. Motorcycle Masters includes free bike hire and all the safety gear with its courses, so you can train without owning a motorcycle or buying equipment first.
What is the difference between the RE and R class courses?
The RE upgrade takes learner riders to a restricted (LAMS) licence for approved bikes, while the R class course is for experienced riders upgrading to an unrestricted licence to ride non-LAMS motorcycles. Each has its own prerequisite holding periods.
Is it suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. The Pre-Learner course is designed for people who have never ridden, and the school is widely reviewed for being patient and supportive with nervous first-timers, including shorter riders and those with specific needs.
Is Motorcycle Masters an approved Q-Ride provider?
Yes. Motorcycle Masters is a Q-Ride registered provider approved by Queensland Transport, so the training counts toward your Queensland motorcycle licence.
