About Northline Speedway
Northline Speedway is Darwin's home of dirt-track speedway racing, set at the Hidden Valley Motorsport Complex alongside the better-known asphalt circuit. This is a spectator race venue rather than a drive-it-yourself experience: you come to watch high-energy oval racing under lights across the dry season. Race nights feature a broad spread of divisions, from junior sedans right up to powerful sprintcars, drawing competitors and fans from across the Northern Territory and interstate. The headline event is Chariots of Thunder, the NT's premier sprintcar meeting, which brings some of Australia's best drivers to the clay. A compact oval, close sightlines and a strong community atmosphere make it a popular family night out in Darwin.
