About Simpson Speedway
Simpson Speedway is a dirt-oval speedway in south-west Victoria, on Speedway Road at Jancourt East between Colac and Camperdown. It's a genuine country speedway with a cult-favourite layout: drivers nickname the distinctive teardrop-shaped track the "avocado", and its tight, characterful shape is a big part of why competitors travel from across the state to race here. On a big night the venue draws crowds of up to around 3,000 spectators.
This is a spectator venue โ you come to watch, not to drive. Across a meeting you'll see a strong mix of classes including Sprintcars, Wingless Sprints, Formula 500s, Street Stocks and Super Rods, with the grippy clay and floodlit night format making for loud, close, dirt-flinging racing. Clean facilities and an on-site canteen round out an affordable, family-friendly night out at the speedway.
