About South Coast Raceway
South Coast Raceway at Portland is a purpose-built drag strip in Victoria's south-west, run by the volunteer South Coast Drag Racing Association. It is described as the only permanent regional ANDRA-sanctioned drag racing track in Victoria. The strip is a 1/8 mile (660ft) layout with a concrete launch surface to 330ft, electronic timing at the 60ft, 330ft and 660ft points, and a generous braking area beyond the finish line. Drivers consistently praise the professionalism of the volunteer crew, the smooth surface and the welcoming, value-for-money atmosphere for newcomers to drag racing. With regular Test 'n' Tune sessions alongside its sanctioned race meets, it is a genuine grassroots destination where you can come to watch or to run your own car down the strip.
