FAQ
Do I need my own motorcycle to do the course?
No. Bike hire is available through Stay Upright, so you can complete the Pre-Learner and other courses without owning a motorcycle.
Which course do I start with to get my motorcycle licence in NSW?
You begin with the two-day Pre-Learner course to obtain your NSW learner licence. After holding your learner, you complete the Pre-Provisional course and pass the MOST assessment to gain your provisional (P) licence.
What is the MOST?
The MOST (Motorcycle Operator Skill Test) is the riding assessment completed as part of the Pre-Provisional course; passing it lets you progress from a learner to a provisional motorcycle licence.
What happens if I don't pass Day 1 of the Pre-Learner course?
Stay Upright offers two hours of additional remedial training at no charge if the Day 1 outcomes aren't met, to be completed within 28 days (currently available on Fridays).
Do you cater for experienced or returning riders?
Yes. Beyond the licensing courses, the centre offers returning-rider refreshers and advanced road, track and adventure courses for already-licensed riders.
