About Pitstop Karting
Pitstop Karting is an indoor go-kart track in Garbutt, Townsville, built around a technical 200-metre circuit (six metres wide) where karts reach up to 45km/h — compact and tight enough to reward smooth driving rather than raw speed, so it stays genuinely fun across skill levels. It runs on a simple arrive-and-drive system with 10-minute sessions, and offers junior, senior and two-seater dual karts so younger kids and non-drivers can still get on track with an adult. With session credits, family passes, a VIP membership and a "Cheap Tuesdays" deal, it is an accessible and well-regarded option for families, birthday parties and group outings in North Queensland.

FAQ
Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?
Pitstop Karting runs an arrive-and-drive system, so walk-ins are welcome for groups under 15 people. Larger groups and bookings outside normal hours need to be arranged by email in advance.
How long is each race session?
Each session lasts 10 minutes and runs on a line-up basis. Session credits, family passes and a VIP membership are available, plus a discounted "Cheap Tuesdays" rate.
What are the height requirements?
Junior karts are for drivers at least 128cm tall and senior karts for those at least 150cm. Two-seater dual karts let a passenger aged 3 or over ride with a driver who is 18 or older.
What should I wear?
Closed-in shoes are required — no heels, thongs, sandals, Crocs or open-toed footwear. You will also need a Pitstop licence and balaclava before your first race.
